Hadar's Molds are made out of high-grade purple silicone putty, a flexible mold material which picks up fine details. The photo on the top of this page shows a collage made with some of these molds.
In the photos below you can see the masters from which the molds are made. All masters are hand-crafted, original artwork by Hadar Jacobson. The molds are the reverse of the image: when you press the clay onto the mold the result will be the positive pattern shown on the master. You can use a mold as is, as part of a larger piece of jewelry, or you can incorporate parts of it in your own design.
The small photo displayed on each page shows the mold on a piece of graph paper to give you an idea of its size. Each graph paper square is a quarter of an inch. You can enlarge the graph paper photo by clicking on it; then, use your browser's "Back" key to return to the product page.
The best way to use the molds it to moisten them with a drop of olive oil and then use a toothbrush to get the oil inside the crevices. Then push the clay into the mold and press on the clay with your fingers. To release the clay, hold the mold upside-down and fold it upward until the clay drops on the working surface without distorting.
Suggestions for possible designs are shown for some of the molds. Some free projects for these molds are available here, on my blog. Hadar's Molds are not mass produced and are legitimately sold only on Hadar's Online Store. If you find them for sale elsewhere, they may be unauthorized replicas made from my original molds, and will not show fine details.
Note: Once purchased, Hadar's Molds cannot be returned. For details, access our shipping policy by clicking on the Shipping Policy button in the left-hand pane.
