2 spots left.
2-day class on June 19-20, before the PMC Guild Conference.
This workshop is about making mokume-gane band rings. We will practice a few mokume-gane designs. Some of the designs are covered in my latest book, Patterns of Color in Metal Clay, but require some modification when applied to rings. Other designs are new developments. In the workshop we will also cover the firing process for base metal clay in depth, as well as sizing rings and finding solutions to possible reactions between the metal and the skin.
You will probably make more rings than can be fired in 2 days. Hopefully the "kiln talk" will help you feel confident enough to fire some rings at home. To transfer unfired rings safely you can store them in a sandwich bag filled with rice or carbon.

Please have a look at the materials list. If you have any questions, please email me directly at hadar@pacbell.net. Make sure to order the clay and finishing kit prior to the class, or when you sign up. The minimum required clays are stated on the list, but feel free to order more clay and/or books. Since I’ll be flying in, I won’t be able to bring books with me.
You can sign up here by paying the class fee.
