Shipping & Insurance

Orders are normally shipped within 3 business days after we receive confirmation that your credit card or PayPal payment has cleared. Orders are shipped by U.S. Post Office Priority Mail.

Jewelry items are insured for their purchase price, minus tax and shipping cost. There is no insurance on books or Hadar's Clay™. Shipping and insurance (if applicable) will be charged according to current U.S. Post Office rates for Priority Mail, International Priority Mail, and insurance.

Shipping Option. For all orders the shipping cost is now calculated automatically. You will need to select the correct shipping option (package size), depending on what you are ordering. When you place your order, please choose one of the following options:

USPS Priority Mail, Flat Rate Envelope (books only, up to 2) – choose this option if you are ordering 1 or 2 books and nothing more.

USPS Priority Mail, Small Box (jars of clay powder only, up to 8) – choose this option if you are ordering up to 8 jars of clay powder and nothing more.

USPS Priority Mail, Medium Box (books and clay powder, 20 lb max) – choose this option (a) if you are ordering 3 books or more, or (b) if you are ordering 9 jars of clay powder or more, or (c) if you are ordering a combination of books and clay powder.

No Shipping (For Classes and for Items Collected Personally) – choose this option if your order includes no items to ship, e.g., if you are paying only for a class, or for items you will be collecting personally.

If we are unable to ship your order using the option you have chosen (e.g., if you have selected an envelope or box that is too small for the amount of merchandise you have ordered, or if your credit/debit card or PayPal charge is declined), we will send you an email requesting that you initiate a separate payment transaction to cover these charges, and your order will normally ship within 3 business days after the additional payment has been confirmed. It may be possible to accommodate expedited shipping methods, at the Customer’s request and expense.

For customers in California, California sales tax will be calculated and added to the price of your order when it is placed.

Customers outside California (including international customers) may wish to read our policy regarding local taxes, Customs duties, etc.

Insurance, Loss, Damage. Generally speaking, most merchandise shipped via USPS Priority Mail is insured by the USPS for up to $50.00 per package for domestic shipments and up to $100.00 per package for international shipments. For details, please consult the USPS website. Additional insurance can often be purchased through USPS; if you are interested in this option, please let us know when placing your order.

In the event that a shipment we have sent you is lost or damaged, we will make every good-faith effort to place and process a claim with USPS. Any insurance reimbursement we receive from USPS for such loss or damage and/or for the cost of postage, will be refunded to you -- not to exceed the amount you actually paid us for the merchandise and shipping.

Returns

Please feel free to return any books or jewelry purchased on Hadar's Online Store or received as a gift. (Sorry, metal clay products and Hadar's Molds cannot be returned.) Items must be returned within 30 days from the day of shipment in the same condition that they were shipped to you. Items that were damaged after being shipped to you will not be accepted. Items shipped outside of the U.S. or Canada are not returnable.

To make a return, please e-mail hadarjacobson@gmail.com. After approval of the return, please ship the item back. You are responsible for any damage to the item in return transit, so it is recommended to send it insured. Once the item is received in its original condition, your credit card or PayPal account will be credited with the price of the item, including any California sales tax charged. Our shipping and insurance costs will not be credited back to your account.
